Michelle Nguyen Bradley, also known as “IamChubbyBunny,” works across the full gamut of niche interest entertainment, having a hand on camera and off in the creation of digital entertainment shows, podcasts, tabletop game streaming, trade shows, fashion shows, and viral social media content.
Michelle grew up and was educated on the East Coast, graduating from Penn State University in 2005, then moving to Japan to work for the next few years. Now residing in Los Angeles, Michelle uses her deep knowledge of niche culture from both American and Japanese lifestyle brands and media to create content for the fandom at large.
Michelle has hosted Anime Expo’s fashion show, opening ceremonies, and AX Lite 2021. She previously produced and hosted the “Got Manga Viz Summer Reading Book Club” series and also hosted FunimationCon 2020. Michelle also hosted on “Button Mash,” a video game deep dive show over on the Total Nerd YouTube channel. She has also appeared regularly as a nerd expert on networks like Nerdist, Um, Actually, Geek and Sundry, AfterBuzz TV, Hyper RPG and ScreenJunkies.
Michelle is also a professional tabletop RPG player. You can catch her every Tuesday evening on the Hunters Entertainment and Paizo Twitch channels as a primary cast member. She has played characters like Hoa Sen on the Critical Role Elder Scroll’s Blackwood miniseries, Betty on the official Rat Queen's RPG (HyperRPG), a huntress wizard on The Department of Mysteries (Dragons and Things), a Viet granny crime lord on Altered Carbon (Hunters Entertainment), a heavenly Aasimar knight on Broken Pact (Saving Throw Show), an awkward librarian Tremere vampire on Denver by Night (Queuetimes), and many more personas through her work on RPG shows.
Michelle also moonlights as an event producer at geek conventions across North America, with clients such as Sanrio, Rilakkuma, and 6%DOKIDOKI. As a former writer at Geek.com, DefectiveGeeks.com, and GeekandSundry.com, Michelle still hones her skills in writing with articles that focus on the geek sphere while also promoting inclusion, education and goodwill among the nerd community.
